A month ago, we gave you the first bit of new music from Volcano Choir, as the band announced their second album, Repave. Today, we finally get to hear the track that was teased, Byegone, in its entirety.
It seems like the guys might be taking a more direct, traditional approach to their music this time around, as Byegone has more vocals and lyrics than previous efforts. On their debut, Unmap, lyrics were pretty scarce, and vocals were used as more of an instrument, adding another layer to some amazing, at times dizzying, music.
Either way, I'll gladly be giving them my money when Repave hits stores on Sept. 3rd, via Jagjaguwar. Tickets are still available for their show at the Metro.
